Before purchasing these shoes I had the opportunity to talk to Co-Owner Omar Isuf in person at the very well known ‘Barbell Brigade’ gym is Los Angeles, California. One of the very first questions I had for him was his thoughts about the 1” wooden heel and does it make a difference? Well when I purchased my shoes that same day we talk, I got them in the mail two days later. I was so pumped and excited to try them on that as soon as they were at my front door I opened the box put them on immediately. First impression. These shoes were worth every penny. So coming from the Adidas adipower weight lifting shoes with 3/4” plastic heel going to the 1” wooden heel you don’t know the difference besides the wooden heel and the height, but it’s not until you get under a bar that you see the difference. I’m a powerlifter. Main three, Squat, Bench, Deadlift. I won’t even walk into a gym if I don’t have my position shoes with me. I use them 2/3 lifts, Squat and Bench. My squats strength and bench strength has definitely increased and I know that the 1” heel has made that possible. Before Positions my squat PR was at 375lbs. Two months after using the P3’s I hit a 420lbs squat with great depth. And brought my sad 265lbs bench up to 300lbs within a month and half. As far as sizing, it’s literally like picking out your foot size, it’s perfect and accurate. I wear 11 1/2 and I’m 6’3” with the P3’s on 6’4” so they do make a difference for tall bois. Anyone have anything I can answer I’d be happy too help them become more knowledgeable about the best lifters on the planet!
