The shoes are great, squatting and deadlifting feel way more natural. Unfortunately due to low stock on the size i wear i had to go one half size up which is frustrating. My only feedback would be to increase production rates.
I've had my eye on Position shoes for a while now, but as I mostly train powerlifting and not olympic lifts, the large heel was too much for my needs. As soon as the R1 came out, I started saving money to buy a pair and they were worth the wait. Great fit, solid heel, and craftmanship that would be impossible to beat shopping at other major lifting shoe companies. A dependable pair of lifting shoes and a solid belt are really the only equipment you need in the gym. I'm looking forward to rocking these on all my PRs to come for years to come
Great shoe. Well made. Novice lifter. These shoes definitely helped with my lifting, especially squats.
Shoe was very well made. Solid construction and I love the wooden heel. Takes a bit to get used to walking in them - at least for me. I usually wear a 14 4E and I knew I'd have trouble with the width. The toe box is fine but it really narrows down in the heel. I find my heel is wider than the shoes heel causing my foot to lean over the sides of the shoes, which is something I don't want while lifting. If Position came out with a true overall 'Wide' size, I'd re-order and it would fix the only issue I have with the shoe.
Except for front squats where I personally prefer the higher heel of the P3 series, I'm finding this shoe to be absolutely perfect for cleans, deadlifts, presses, and virtually every other exercise I do. Completely satisfied. Highly recommend it.
